The blend of equal proportions of white and black Penja pepper is a harmonious combination of the two varieties of pepper, both grown in the rich volcanic soil of Penja in Cameroon.
• Penja black pepper is harvested before ripening and dried in the sun. It is intense and spicy, with woody and sometimes smoky notes.
• White Penja pepper, on the other hand, is obtained after fermentation and soaking to remove the outer husk. Its aromas are more delicate, musky and fresh.
